The Las Vegas BHPH Conference in October is promising to be a big event for subprime dealerships and related companies. The agenda and latest exhibitor information has been released, and it looks like the Las Vegas BHPH Conference will be a huge opportunity for dealerships to learn and grow. As one would expect from any NIADA/NABD conference, the workshops and exhibitor hall will be impressive, and many of the subjects are focused on continued growth and prosperity in the BHPH market.
There are some big names on the exhibitor list thus far. GPS companies such as Advantage and Ituran USA will have representatives there showing dealers how their products can help track vehicles and reduce risk. There will also be some notable auction companies, including TradeRev and ACV Auctions, at the Las Vegas BHPH Conference. Of course, software companies such as ABCoA and Dealer Socket will be represented as well, as will financial companies ranging from Tax Max, which offers a tax refund down payment program, to PTS Financial Services, which offers GAP coverage for BHPH deals.
Of course, the biggest reason most dealerships attend is the training opportunities, and the Las Vegas BHPH Conference will not disappoint! Growth and success seem to be the overarching themes of the agenda, with a wide range of topics to help BHPH dealers remain relevant and prosperous. Panels such as “Growing Your Business With the Right Lines of Credit,” “Expanding Your BHPH Operation Through Retail Subprime,” and “Building Your Team in the Digital Age” are sure to draw crowds. The other large focus of this year’s Las Vegas BHPH Conference surrounds various risks and how dealerships can protect themselves. With this year having seen changes to regulations such as those involving robocalls and some BHPH dealerships facing legal trouble due to compliance issues, these subjects are both relevant and important. On Wednesday, a training session titled “A Compliance Guide to Calling and Texting Your Customers” will offer information about the increasingly complex legal issues surrounding contact methods. A panel called “Biggest Legal Challenges Facing the Subprime Industry: A View From The In-House Counsel’s Office” will also look at potential legal pitfalls and how to avoid them. Of course, one area of risk that always concerns BHPH dealerships is that of collections, and there will be training sessions based around that as well.
